Little party at Deb's. |
Cautious from the get-go. I don't trust this driver. Wish I knew her name though. hmmm. |
Now THIS is a driver I can trust. Little Deb driving ... what's her name? |
These are great Deb!! You still do that look that you have on the bike behind "What's her name"!! It is so great to look in to someone's childhood and their family photos. Another one I love is your party in the kitchen. I love looking at the bread box and the decor of that time. Oh, and I had that same bathing suit!!!LOL xo
ReplyDeleteYes Jo I agree that the 50's stuff in the background is so fun to look at. Ahhh breadbaskets, I remember them well. Remember the decals they had on them of roses or fruit?
DeleteOMG these are so friggin CUTE !!! AWW DEB STOP IT WITH THE ADORABLE....!!! But don't I love these :P
ReplyDeleteEPIC CUTENESS !!!!
I mean...These are so.....I CAN'T THINK OF ANY CUTE WORDS ANYMORE!!!!!! We gotta invent a new word for these..!
Thanks Shalaka, a different time that's for sure. So...vintage cute!
DeleteVintage cute....THATS EPIC !!!!
DeleteAs Odin would say about the cats... 'Awwwwww!! They are so cute!!" Deb, you were a beautiful baby, and you haven't changed one iota. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo. I am loving these pictures. and the project!
DeleteYou were and are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Madge! :-)
DeleteYa know what I just compared my baby pix to yours....We kinda look similar !! :D
ReplyDeleteTwins???
DeleteMAYBE.....!!!!!! 38 years apart....but SURE !!!!
DeleteAdorable Deb! In the one picture holding your baby brother you look exactly like a picture you've posted before of your son, I think it must be the hair.
ReplyDeleteI WAS JUST GONNA SAY THAT...those exact words !!!!!!!!!!! Erin, you mind reader :)
DeleteErin thanks, do you think it has to do with the 500 bobby pins my Mom put in my head the night before? :-)
ReplyDeleteAhhh no not pin curls, I hated pin curls! The things mothers do to their daughters hair. I try not to mess with my girls hair that much but I'm sure I've done something they weren't happy about at some point. Worst thing my Mom ever did was glue a barrette to my head for pictures because at three I still didn't have enough hair to hold one in.
DeleteMy mom didnt touch my hair when I was one coz it was golden brown and cute curly....she didnt wanna mess it up..Aww but my aunt was obsessed with my hair...I practically grew up at her place... so she was in charge of my hair....she experimented on them...in a great way actually...it looked great after she worked on it....now she hates it that I have shoulder-length hair...SHE CANT WORK ON IT ANYMORE !! hah! you should see my 10yr old pics with different hairstyles XD
DeleteI know! What was with the pin curls? Mind you I remember as a young teen curling my hair by using juice cans!!! Yep!
DeleteOh Deb, so adorable! I love the picture of you on the back of the bike. Your face says it all. Just priceless. This is such a great project. I was just thinking about all my cousins. I was the first girl of my generation on both sides of my family, which means I have a lot of older, male cousins. I didn't spend a lot of time with most of them since we are all spread out around the country, but a few of them I have seen regularly since childhood. Let me just say, being the only girl was tough!
ReplyDeleteSteph I bet it was tough. But I am glad you still see many of them. Cousins share life experience with us don't they?
DeleteAww I am loving these pics!!!! I have a question if you don't mind... Did you grow up in Canada? I don't think this matters for any reason, I was just curious : ).
ReplyDeleteSo glad you love them Kelly! I was brought up in Canada yes. Toronto to be specific. Born and raised. We spent two years in Newfoundland in the late 50's because of my Dad's job but other than that...
Deletethanks for the answer. Like I said I have no idea why this question kept popping in my head but it did. : )
DeleteI LOVE OLD PICTURES!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteME TOOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these! Are you and Scott still friends? :]
ReplyDeleteYes Kelly. He is my cousin and we are dear friends and close. Our sons are also dear friends.
DeleteAaaahhhh!!!! THE CUTE!!!! IT IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rigel. The memories are huge too!
ReplyDeleteLove the 50s look and the black and white adds to the old look, which makes it look even better!
ReplyDeleteYeah Garrett the old black and whites really have that "feel" to them don't they? I wish they were never ending!
DeleteYour dad looks like a very cool guy! You look like such a happy family, easy to see where you get your personality from.
ReplyDeleteMy parents spent 8 years in Newfoundland in the 60/70's for my dad's work and have always kind of regretted moving. They made some of the best friends of their life there, and my mum still considers herself part Canadian even after all these years. :) Your photos remind me of the black and white "canada photo album" in my parents collection. Have loved looking it through it all my life, it was the closest I ever got to snow in my early years!
Samara that is cool that you have a Canada photo album and your parents are right. Newfoundlanders are some of the kindest friendliest people in the world.
