  4. I've seen this a few times but love it more w each viewing. Deb- the hair curlers- ah cheez- ( my supers wife still walks around like that!)
and looking so purty at the end- you and Colin both look like u had fun- an actors dream- to overact like heck AND it's neccessary for the role too! How many times has Colin actually handled lawn equipment? The rake "caress" was a little too "familiar"- IF you know what I mean!

  5. My first thought when looking at this thanks to burnt toast was "it must be a siezure". I think most Canadians should be able to understand why burnt toast=seizure. Darn you 80's CBC.

As for the video love it gave me a good laugh. Wouldn't it be nice to actually be able to sing like that?

  6. I am awed at how well at both your and Colin's ability to lip sync to this operatic piece. :) Honestly, I muted the sound, and you both were so easy to lip read (I could read about 70% of it) - which is astounding because (a) you are singing, and that is always harder to lip read than speech; (b) the gestures and facial expressions you both used were excellent in communicating the message, and (c) it's not like you both were singing your own music; you were lip syncing to opera!

(This is what happens when you work with people who are hard of hearing - you notice things like this!)

    Bravo. :)

  7. I know, Jo!! On the one hand, I think this is just soooo funny, and on the other, amazing how well Colin and Deb perform it. I mean, not "amazing" in that I doubted, but just amazing amazing.

  8. Barb, exactly! It's funny (heck, Odin was amused), but at the same time, I'm blown away at the whole process. You seem to be coming from a "performance" perspective, and I'm coming from the hard of hearing perspective... Amazing how it can be the same thing sometimes - communication.

  10. Good point, Madge -- for the record, everyone, Deb and Colin can sing very very well! ....but no, this is not their voices.

  14. this is so cool . i was thinking a lot of men might have sympathy with Colin's character!
by the way it sounds like the voice that sings at 3:03 is debs as it sounds different from he main operatic female voice in the clip . i presume i am wrong though .

Barbara you are welcome for the Irish language pronunciation help in the last post i made here ( in the tree trimming topic ) . not very many Irish people can speak Irish either . i admit i had to look it up !

  16. Deb absolutely wonderful! You and Colin together, is there anything better? I think not! Hilarious! I honestly was near tears from laughter and I will admit I watched it more than once! I agree with everyone else, you two did a fantastic job lip syncing!
You and Colin made my day, Deb! Thanks for the smile (and giggles that accompanied the smile) ;)
