Barbara: As yesterday was a hectic day for me and so shall today be, I'm leaving you with an utterly beautiful video of Toronto done in timelapse photography called City Rising. It is like a meditation: peaceful and breathtaking and breath-giving. Plus you get to see our home city! In the description underneath the video, the artist, Tom Ryaboi, talks a bit about how difficult it was to manifest. I'd say he did a bang-up job manifesting.

Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOMG This is soooo Beautiful and the background score makes it more goosebumpy! Cant believe I'll be there in a few months now!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait!
Barb I LOVE you for sharing this with us! xo
lol That was my first thought upon viewing: "Shalaka's gonna be so excited."
Delete2nd thought? I'm jealous that Barbara, Deb, and Shalaka get to live there.
(Just please hurry up and vote out Mayor Dumbnuts.)
Awwww Arent you the sweetest! Well you can come live with me if you want :D
DeleteDo you already know where there you are going to live?
DeleteLOL Oh, Shalaka, I wish! But, I don't have all the emigration paperwork. My passport's even expired!
DeleteHey Kasku!!! Sorry replying late. Um...sort of! For beginners we were planning somewhere near Etobicoke. I'm not sure. My friend's college is in York and I'm in Oakville. But We are living together so we were planning to stay somewhere thats convenient for both of us ya know.
DeleteLOL Rigel....passport expired huh?.... ok....I'll trick Tory Belleci into coming to Toronto. WHAT SAY NOW? :D
Nah. Tory Belleci's been showing off his model-actress girlfriend all over twitter lately. Suffice to say, the thrill has been killed. :P
DeleteNo worries Shalaka! That's good that you have a clear idea where to start :) I am not that familiar with the Toronto area so, I had to look up the places. York and Oakville seem to be a bit far from each other, but as you are both willing to travel, I see no problem with that. You'll need to start writing a blog about this adventure, so that we (i.e. me) nosy people can just keep up with the events :))
Deletejust saw this Barb. Stunning!
ReplyDeleteOnly got about a min. in. Dead computer battery. Quite lovely though!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous Barb, thank you
ReplyDeleteI knew you guys would love this! Thanks to Deb Day for posting it on FB. Thanks to great timing, I saw it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Tom Ryaboi! Love the Hans Zimmer music, too. The Toronto Tourist Board should contact him.
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful video indeed. I (again) do have to admit that I got a bit anxious that I didn't see that much green in that. Just shows I can visit cities as long as there is a way out. :)
ReplyDeleteholy moly. that was amazing! Timelapse photography..that means that those were all pictures taken and then sped up in a sort of slideshow/movie right? If so that makes this all the more impressive. And Toronto is such a beautiful city. I wasn't expecting such a big city but it was stunning!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, right? And, to Kasku's question about the greenness, there are a lot of green neighbourhoods in TO, and the huge lake, which brings a lot of nature right to our doorstep. But there is also a lot of concrete and glass!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it :)
