Majesty

Deb: In honour of her Majesty's Jubilee year, something so very lovely. Even if you are not a fan of the Queen, or if you love Queen the Band, or if you are a Queen, you will love this artistic and sweet tribute.

Also, I have just found out that my husband is getting a Queen's Jubilee Medal and I am so proud and happy!

  4. Wow! That is the most beautiful tape of the Queen. A person's face and eyes speak a million words, and are more than often truer than words. I really enjoyed it Deb, thank you for posting it and congratulations to Colin. You must be incredibly proud of him!

    1. Hmmm.... Nope. Wait. Not satisfied. There needs to be more.

Colin needs OBE after his name. :)

    2. Why don't they Knight him???? For being one of the funniest men alive (Well King of Improv to be precise).

So awesome it would sound SIR COLIN MOCHRIE :D

    3. Well, Hugh Laurie is OBE. And, Patrick Stewart is KBE. We most certainly need to get some kind of honors after Colin's name!

(p.s. He'd only be called Sir when in the UK. You can be KBE anywhere, but you only get called Sir on UK soil.)

    4. How about OBE and KBE!!! ...and KNIGHTED...I just think Sir Colin Mochrie sounds pretty awesome. :D

    5. I love this exchange gals! I just read it to Colin and he said "hang on to that dream girls!". You know him. He never thinks he is worthy!!!

    6. Colin is so modest! He so deserves all of this! I agree with Shalaka and Rigel! He deserves the distinction!

    7. OK, just heard from someone I know from Ottawa who works in Canadian government. Rita says (via Twitter), "About the OBE: he may be eligible because he was born in Scotland. There's some technicality with the Cdn citizenship though. I don't know if he's allowed to accept UK honours. But we have honours too, starting with the Order of Canada," and, "Okay, I just checked. A Canadian may receive an OBE, but not knighthood. He would have to give up his Cdn cit. for the KBE." So, there'll be no Sir Colin. :(

So, we've gotta figure out how to get him nominated for Canadian Honours of some sort. (See, y'all, I even stuck in the fancy u! :D )

    9. Shalaka. With a sword.

Now, all I can think of is She-Ra. BY THE HONOR OF GREYSKULL!!!!

    10. I would look GREAT in that outfit!!! Ohhhhh..... I love the Tiara *daydreaming*...OH RIGHT THE KNIGHTING!! WE'LL HAVE A CEREMONY...AND INVITE ASLAN TOO :D. WHAT SAY RIGEL?

      Delete
    11. I don't know about Aslan. I think we should focus on inviting those we know would please Colin. Like Ann-Margaret and an aquarium full of dolphins. And, Batman.

And, we should use a lightsaber instead of a sword -- but being careful not to accidental chop parts of him off.
