Hello all!
We have arrived after a looooooong day of travel. Up at 6, then a 5-hour drive to San José, then a newspaper interview (The Tico Times), then a hurried lunch, then the airplane. We totally meant to write a catch up post today sometime, but ran out of steam, time, and internet connections. But we promise you some fun facts and more photos for tomorrow afternoon and then the amazing turtle videos on Friday!
Thank you all for your wonderful comments throughout our week. We loved hearing from you––and it was especially nice to welcome a few new regulars to our comments' section (hey, Glenda of Costa Rica!). See you tomorrow!!

Hey Deb and Barb, Glad you guys made it home safely and didn't get sacrificed to the volcano gods. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the video you plan to post. I bet the fur kids are sooooo happy you are home but are also
giving you "the look". :) I'm quite familiar with "the look" myself. ha.
Sweet dreams,
Karen
welcome home . glad you got back safely .
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!! Long trip, but glad you are all safe and sound. You must have had a great welcome from your dogs!!!Hope you don't have too heavy a day home. Can you believe Jan. 12 and no snow yet, where are we?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't I read these things.....(New Year's resolution) I meant to say, I hope your first day home is not too heavy and you can ease in....oh boy :)
ReplyDeleteMay the sun bring you new energy by day
ReplyDeleteMay the moon softly restore you by night
May the rain wash away your worries
May the breeze blow new strength into your being
May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life
Apache Blessing
Thanks, you guys!!! It was hard to fall asleep, then hard to wake up. It is dark and rainy here today (and way warm for Canada). But I LOVE Mary-Jo's Apache blessing (points up) and will apply all -- thank you. (PS no worries about proofing -- I totally understood what you meant!)
ReplyDeleteOh, my furry friend was THRILLED we're home. Spent about 15 minutes just doing donuts (it's what we call it when he presses up against us and turns in circles) and trying to kiss us and softly whimpering. And, yes, Karen, after the initial excitement, we ALWAYS get "the look". Lasts about 24 hours. Funny creatures.
Dawn, that's great! Rigel, Madge, Dawn, Shalaka, Karen, and Mary-Jo, thanks and lots of happy hugs to you!!
PS does anyone know what happened to our comments font? It's so tiny now... I don't like it...
ReplyDeleteGlad you all got home safe and sound! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBarb, I noticed the font change too, but I thought it was just me. Its a little odd...
Glad you made it home!!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDelete*Kentucky hugs*

ReplyDeletei agree the font had got tiny here . this might help . if you have windows xp go to the top of the page . click on the word view , a menu should open , click on the word zoom then another menu opens . click the word zoom in . this should enlarge the font . you can do it as many times as you need to . hopefully bloggers gets; it;s rear back in gear soon .

No, Rigel, shhhhh. We're just prepping them for embedding here tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Barbara, but anyone who has subscribed to y'all's channel is already seeing them as a subscription update right there front and center when they open YouTube. The cat, ermmm turtle, is out of the bag. Sorry! The internet has cracked open the subterfuge attempted by your espionage ring! :)
Deletefound the videos too . sorry barbara . however i have not watched them all as it is 00-50 as i type and time for me to put my head on my pillow and pull up my duvet! . looking forward to seeing them properly tomorrow what i saw was cool ./
DeleteP.S. Becki - Font changes aside, aren't our comments almost always STRANGE?!? :)
ReplyDeleteUh, didn't know you can reply to a comment. New Feature? :D
Delete*hehe* ALMOST...not always :D
Oh! This IS a new feature (not of our own making). Maybe this explains the change of font and size...
DeleteHeads-up, Deb and Barbara:
ReplyDeleteReddit is going dark for Jan. 18 in protest of SOPA. (STOP SOPA!!! SOPA IS A BAD, BAD BILL!!! They are presenting it to be one thing, but what it does is something all together different. It will send our nation back into the Dark Ages internet-wise, worse than any blocking taking place in China or Syria. FIGHT SOPA!!!) Americans, please speak up to your Senators and Representatives and fight SOPA!!!) It is currently in the talks that Google and facebook may join in. That would put Blogger, YouTube, Gmail, etc. going dark for that day. So, don't wig out if you can't blog that day, AND make sure you have usable alternate email addies in place.
Stop #SOPA !!!
