Wow! It's amazing the ways we find to express and amuse ourselves. I am impressed at the artist's ability to figure out the details of how to make the dominos fall in just the right way, and to reduce the original art to a simple enough form to represent in dominos. It's like needlepoint - it's not how I think. But I'm sure people look at all of us and say, I couldn't do what they do.
This is....FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG The talent!! OH THE PATIENCE!!! BLESS THEIR SOULS FOR THE PATIENCE!!
And I did have one question....Was is just me or did anyone else yell "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!-- Oh...that does look pretty" everytime the dominoes started falling?
...And precision. The domino buildings are made sooo precisely...I mean they must have to make it soo that one domino can knock every other domino down....BRILLIANT!
This is amazing no matter how you look at it. Some people also have way too much time on their hands. But patience and perseverance win out in the end. Art is amazing in all forms.
This just make me wonder what I could have been doing instead of just like watching TV or something useless. Kind of like his own form of motavational speaking. Saying look what can be done if you just try. It is beautiful.
It makes me just marvel at the talent human beings have and yes, as many of you have said, it makes you sometimes think "what the heck did I do with MY day?" :-)
Now, see, this is when my perfectionist, intense, slightly OCD nature would come out. What this person did was really cool and amazing and rocked. I AM NOT DISCOUNTING IT IN THE LEAST. But, if it were me doing it, I'd've had to keep trying again and again until it went off perfectly. There were 2 places that didn't fall properly and had to be tipped to complete the picture. That would drive me mad. I'd have to keep doing it and doing it until it all went off thoroughly in total run through.
But, that's just me. *twitch, twitch*
Now, that freakiness stated, you know what I love about this video? That someone did this. Is it practical? No. Does it serve any purpose other than being pleasing and intriguing? No. Is that enough? YES! The person setting up this run did it to feed a creative corner of his soul. And, THAT ROCKS. And, I'm so, so glad we got to enjoy the viewing!
