Lego Man in Space

Deb: These are two Scarborough Ontario boys, Mathew Ho and Asad Muhammad, friends from grade school who put this amazing little project together. When Asad came to Canada from India he could not speak any English and Mathew befriended him and involved him in this project some years later. When asked by interviewers how they are going to build on Lego Man in Space, they said, “We are just going to concentrate on good grades and graduating this year and getting into good universities.” Lovely boys with something to tell their grandchildren.

This is the interview:

This is the whole unedited journey:

  2. That is amazing. As I was watching these videos, my son was saying "It's just a fake", but I had to explain to him how/why it wasn't a fake video.

That was brilliant. I can tell they're focused, intelligent young men who have a bright future ahead of them.

  3. They were interviewed on NPR and they were so wonderful and full of excitement. Great story. They couldn't believe he landed safely. However, they couldn't find him at first so they went back a week later and there he was, perfect in every way. Great fun.

    1. I love that their families were so behind them Madge. The first night the Dad's helped them search and they had to give up because they were cold and wet and it was dark. Such a lovely tale!

  11. that is so cool!! i always loved legos and just seeing what two people can do with them is amazing! If they can accomplish getting a lego to fly higher than an airplane, who knows what we, humanity, can do down here?
