So A Bunch Of Gorillas Walk Into A Hotel

Deb: Halfway through watching this I realized I was holding my breath. Not with fear but with pure overwhelming joy! I would love to meet the man in the "middle" and hear about every single solitary feeling he had. Wowie! Once in a lifetime does not begin to cover this!

For those of you who celebrate: Happy Valentine's Day from us to you!

  2. I want a gorilla kiss! How exciting! I love those curious babies. Wonder if he's so still so the adults don't mistake any moves for agressiveness...

    1. Yes Hart if I am not mistaken it is a show of aggression to look them in the eye. And by the size of the sliver back we don't want to do that do we?

    1. Kelly it must have been so hard for him not to take those babies in his arms. I guess the prospect of having one's arm ripped off will do that huh?

  13. okay, wait a second here. Yes, that was totally awesome, but was I the only one wondering if someone had a gun in their hands (at least a traquilizer gun) in case that silverback attacked him?!?!

That was crazy. The look on his face was priceless. I thought he was gonna pee his pants.

in fact, I thought he did pee his pants, but I think it was just some leaves...

Barb, what'd you say about any friend of Gae's...? :)

Happy Valentines Day, you gorgeous, smart, funny women! I am in love with you! :)

    1. Gae that made me giggle and I actually thought about that when you raised the point. But they did say at the beginning that the gorilla's come into camp a couple of times a year. Clearly they have not had any problems. I am guessing they are briefed on how to behave within an inch of their lives. LITERALLY! Happy Valentines Day right back fabulous you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. I know Sheph and it made me laugh to think that the baby kept grooming his hair thinking "why am I not getting anything here?" Happy Valentine's Day to you my girl.

  15. My jaw dropped as I watched this. That young gorilla groomed him! Wow! How adorable was that! When the gorillas first walked by, that silverback looked at the camera as much to say, "Don't even try, fella." Once I got over the fact that they were SO close, I couldn't take my eyes off them. I barely noticed the big guy because I was so fascinated with what the younger ones were doing. I can't imagine the guy having his head picked at did. :)

Thanks SO much for posting this! Happy Valentine's Day, ladies!

  16. I also thought it was great the way the silverback took one last look at him as if to say 'that's all buddy!". magical lovely creatures.
